Joseph and Irene Pierce — former ham radio operators out of Santa Clara, California, are buried together at the Santa Clara Mission Cemetery. An image of the couple with their ham radio equipment is embedded on the edge of their double gravestone. Joseph passed away on June 7, 1966, and Irene joined him on July 10, 1993.
